Overview.
YER (Yellow Error Reference) is the most complete application to retrieve Mac's error codes.
You should simply type the error number and then YER shows you the related error name and explanation just as stated by Universal Headers. When there are more than one error using the same number, YER shows you all existing definition. YER knows error codes defined in the following Headers:
YER is Internet Config aware and Appearance savvy. It requires at least System 7 to run.
Hardware and software requirements.
YER should work on any Macintosh with a minimum of System 7. It's accelerated for PowerPC. If you have the Appearance Manager they will be taken advantage of. Some menu items may be disabled if you don't have Internet Config 2.0 installed (only on PowerMac).
More:
YER came into being as a reference of mine when, recently, I've thought about releasing it to users then I discovered that a terrific job waited for me: the version for my personal use contained not so much error codes and the most worse thing of an application like YER is retrieving and copying Error Codes. Thousands of Error Codes.
The long, soul-destroying, job is the cause of shareware price :-).
Well, you may find above a list of headers from where codes come along, if you want errors from other Headers, please, inform me so I can include them in the next YER release.

And don't forget to register your copy of YER. Remember that a shareware author should be supported. If you don’t pay for shareware software today, you will pay much more tomorrow for exactly the same features (but enclosed in a 'nice' commercial box).

The unregistered version.
After the trial period of one week, the unregistered version of YER is, still, fully operational; however it will always show a reminder and its "about" box when you open it. When you register YER the irritating windows don't appear and the "unregistered" notice will be replaced by the registration information.
Notice: soon after registering, you will receive the serial number via e-mail.
YER can also be included, without my prior permission, without changes and with its documentation, in all CD-ROM or disk shareware collections and in all CD-ROM or Disk magazines (anyway an e-mail or a snail mail would be welcome, as well a copy of the magazine or media would be welcome).
YER may not be included in a commercial package without my prior permission.
